I had to manually catch the fact that my state (VA) forces you to file the same deduction option (Standard vs. Itemized) for both federal and state. My standard fed deduction was about $100 more than itemized, however, the state taxes were $600 in the other direction (itemized was the much better option) resulting in a $500 net difference! TurboTax does not catch this discrepancy and I only caught it based on the jump in numbers from the previous year. Check your numbers! Besides that, the software is very easy and intuitive to use. I gave 3 - stars because it almost cost me $500.
