But there is a fee for federal taxes filed, a fee for state taxes filed, and a fee just to use their services. Sure it's only $39, but with a company as big as TurboTax is, the "discounts" they offer are just all smoke and mirror.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love Turbo Tax, so simple, fun, funny, and easy I find Turbo Tax excellent friendly and reliable software. It is a fun and happy program to use. I will never stop using it because it is safe and professional. I just wish it could help me find more credits so my refund could be a bit higher. I love you Turbo Tax. :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nickel and dime I have used turbo tax for years and every year I try to find some sort of coupon or rebate for their quick and easy service. My taxes are nothing special, everything is basic so I can basically just click the same as last year button the whole way through. No matter what I seem to do the price every year to file through them seems to go up. Somehow after clicking the basic version and working past their various pages and tactics to get you to upgrade, I end up paying almost $200. I'm too lazy to file any other way, it is shameful for both of us. Generally, I'd say their product is good, but their approach is specifically meant to make them money. I'll consider using something else in the future. I understand it's more likely for me to post something negative so take this with a grain of salt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax was awesome. Turbo Tax was a great help when I spoke with their live agents. They were professional and made sure I understood what different things that were to allow myself to make my own determination of how I felt comfortable for my taxes. Having a new business made things difficult for me this year but I am finish and can breathe. I have completed my taxes with Turbo Tax for several years now and I am pleased with the results.
