Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slow to update. No notifications of updates Have been using TurboTax for many years. I am frustrated by the product's slow updates. Even after the relevant forms have been published by the IRS, it can take weeks for the software to update, and clicking "email me when this update becomes available" does not result in an email as promised. Also, year after year I have found the W-4 function to be worse than useless. Even after correctly estimating every category in the calculator, TurboTax severely overestimates my tax liability, resulting in a massive refund. I would rather not give the IRS an interest-free loan.
