Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax Rocks - Clarify Free Option I like TurboTax except that it's confusing when you want to use the Free option and at the bottom of that column (you'll see) on the chart it says "Not Now". This made me think that for some reason I couldn't use the Free option. The option where I would have had to pay was recommended and highlighted and the bottom of the column clickable would have allowed me to pay for it right away. I kept choosing the Not Now option and was able to use the Free service. Also, I was looking for the Non-filer tool but didn't need to do that. The program figured all that out; I just needed to keep moving forward and through it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Perhaps last year with TT This time around I feel TOO MUCH was hidden from view - first time thru I was due for an underpayment penalty. Second time thru it dropped that and calculated tax I owed, mainly due to the AdvCTC of $1500 last year. Confusing for a re-finance year on the home loan, and no confirmations of what was going to be charged to my card until AFTER it was charged. Pushed Credit Karma account when I owed money - had to expand to see all payment options to take care of MY return. Definitely not thrilled with it this year, and will be a lot more skeptical about using next year.
