Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returns unnecessarily rejected 2021 Fed & State returns were rejected. Reason: duplicate 1099-R, which is not the case. My wife and I have IRAs with same payee and we withdrew the same amount from each individual account during 2021. For some reason, the info sent by Turbotax did not sufficiently differentiate the two 1099-Rs for the IRS to recognize they were two different entries. Talked with Turbotax by phone, and recommended that I make a slight change to the Payee name in each entry (added a 1 the name of one, and a 2 to the name of the other). It seems that Turbotax might include Social Security numbers on the online form to further differentiate the two 1099-Rs.
