Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs a way to report software issues Although the Federal Tax Return section worked fine, the Minnesota Tax Return software had an issue when it asked for my Long Term Heath Insurance Provider but did not provide a page for filing in the appropriate information. I had to wait until after the review had found problems and asked that I correct them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Getting more complicated Retrieval of income data is getting more difficult than in the past. Getting the information for 2 accounts from one institution did not work. After retrieving data from one account, Turbo Tax did not sign out and then would not allow access to another account. We had to manually force a sign out at the institution to proceed. Printing of the tax return does not work. At several point, including just before submission to the IRS we tried to print for review and the print app just froze with the message "This could take a few minutes" It never completed, even when we were trying to just review names and SSNs before submittal. We have used Turbo Tax for more than 15 years and this was the worst.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Program is sometimes hard to understand I like being able to file taxes online with a program, rather than going to a service, but Turbo Tax is sometimes very confusing. I don't know exactly what I am "signing" when I file the taxes, so I have to pay extra for representation in case we get audited. I didn't bother figuring out our expenses this year because last year the standard deduction was more, and I figured it wasn't worth the hassle, but Turbo Tax insisted on asking all these questions about our deductions!!!! If I wanted to do all the work, I would have had that information, but figured I would just go with the standard deduction unless we had some huge medical expense.
