Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is less expensive For individual returns Using Turbo Tax is less expensive than using you your local tax prepares i.e. H&R, Hewlett or CPA's However, Turbo Tax needs to be more forthcoming on sending tax records using e-file. Like the cost associated with each electronic filing...don't do it a the end of the program. They also need to be up front on when and to use the short form and using a itemized form. Example: use the short form when you have this dollar deduction ...if you have this deduction dollar amount use this form. Lets face it, if you don't have an idea of the deductions amounts its takes to use an itemized form then perhaps you should use a professional CPA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was Amazing! This was my first time to try filing myself. I used Turbo tax based on a recommendation from a friend. I was nervous, but the process was easy, self-explanatory, and always double checking and providing an explanation. I was proud of myself!

The hick-up in 4 out of 5 stars is you advertise free but it costs me $80 this time. I could go down to the post office, pick up a 1040 and send it in by using the same info you use. You do check for more and this time I would have included the federal money in my income that you found I didn't have to.
