Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sneaky Fees I was enjoying the easy experience of filing my taxes with turbo tax, until I got to one of the last screens that sneaks in an additional $39 "Processing Fee" which is only buried in the language of a consent form. If the ACTUAL fee for using turbo tax and filing is $98 ($59 + $39), then SAY that up front. It's not even about the cost - it's about being disgustingly sneaky with your customers. I hate that - and other people hate it to. We start the process believing the fee will be $59, so to get to the very end of the process and find out it's an additional $39 to actually process is - frustrating - to say the least. I'm certain I'm not the only customer who has gone through this process, begrudgingly paid the additional fee, and left what had initially been a positive experience, feeling lied to and manipulated. I doubt that I will use Turbo Tax again. It's just slimy. I don't like giving slimy companies my money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is a solid product I have used Turbo Tax since it was on a CD. I like it. I actually took advantage of a tax professional this year and found that helpful. The only thing that annoys me is the repeated attempts to upsell me and sell me their partner's products. I guess that is part of business so I just ignore it, but it seems to get worse every year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2012 turbotax Deluxe I have used Turbo Tax for more years than I can remember. This 2012 product was terrible to install. Installer continued to stop with error message both if started from CD or directly from website. It took 2 phone calls for me to understand that you could not help. The best you did was refer me to a forum website which finally provided a work around in windows that allowed me to finally install. Then the program was unable to transfer my prior year turbotax general info resulting in me having to retype all my info. That also eliminated the comparison on a year to year basis which usually is a big help in completing the current year tax return. In my view that deserves a zero star rating which unsurprisingly your rating input system did not allow me to use.
