I had no accounting background but have been able to take care of all the book keeping and tax filing needed for our very small business. I could always find answers to 'how' within the Turbotax help links. Much appreciated being able to have the structure to do the work 'in house'.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax was laid out very well. My return was a bit complicated but I have tax knowledge from working for a CPA. All in all it was easy to wade through and easy to use. The Chat help was excellent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed I pay so much money and they couldn't even edit a simple script to stop rounding the dollar amount. I use turbotax because I don't want to go through a bunch of issues, Yet I spent 2 days trying to "fix" and issue. The problem was not on the information I entered but the program itself. "Sale includes a disallowed wash sale loss (code W). Amount (leave blank if all)". Look at all the issues people are having and it still isn't fixed yet. What really grinds my gears is, Turbotax made me PAY for sending it in BEFORE telling me I had an error, and if I couldn't get the error to work than I would have to mail in my return. Get your act together. So disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from At least it's easy...kinda I just don't trust it anymore but it's hard to leave when all your info is saved. I have too many jobs and documents so I stay for the convenience. However, over the years, it has become less user friendly, more expensive and a bit deceitful. The while process it showed me returns for both federal and state. The at the final check it subtracted $500 from state to where I owed the state. Also chopped $200 off federal. Really sucks to think you are getting some cash and then when you are finished an hour later they pull the rug out. In a final check it finds a bunch more money I owe? Just kinda weird is all. Maybe next year I finally move on to something better.
