Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is mostly easy There is no step, which prompts you to enter the IP PIN. I switched to "forms" to enter it and saved the file. IRS rejected my submission because there was no IP PIN entered. I got an email alerting me of the rejection. I logged in to TurboTax. The status was "pending" not "rejected" It took a week to fix the mismatch.

As the first ever self-employees person in my family, I had no one to turn to for advice when doing my taxes, and trying to do them myself was confusing and terrifying. This is my second time using TurboTax and they are wonderful! They make the process painless and best of all, are not demeaning when I ask them my basic tax questions I don’t understand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me out of jail This is exceptionally easy to use and accurate, which is important because the Federal Government tries to make things impossible to comply with. There is no way an individual can manually file any longer. Consider the cost of Turbo Tax as just another tax from our government!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good, But Oh SO Confusing I've used TurboTax for years and each year it becomes so much more confusing and difficult to simply understand what is being prepared form-wise and why. This year, it prepared a from for a Qualified Business Income which was apparently filled out incomplete and required my review. I don't own a business, have any REIT investments or, based on the "Help" it provided anything else that would require the form. I filled in the apparently "missing" fields with $0 and the error simply disappeared. Not even sure if this is correct, but what the heck....it went through so will hope for the best. Also, trying to determine how much and what is actually applied to my estimated tax for 2022 is simply awful. The "Help" text is written extremely poorly. While I understand that the entire tax code is a mess, I'd think that someone could be hired to writ something a lay-person could understand, e.g. where are the numbers they quote come from? Oh well, can only hope that one day the entire US tax system will be adopted to a simple "flat tax". Then again, with that, what would all the tax accountants and lawyers have o do for a living!
