Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy Will never do my taxes any other way. Quick and easy and I end up with a better return than I did taking it to a tax professional while it is also half the price. Not to mention it is easy to look up prior tax returns for the years to come, this alone has saved me enough time and frustration to be worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax Premier is a good tool for DIY tax prep Turbotax was able to electronically get investment info from about half of the institutions I had to deal with. For the other half that mailed paper statements or that Turbotax wasn't able to directly contact, it was less convenient (hand entry or download to my computer and then upload to Turbotax). Doing state taxes for the partial year I live in my new state was well worth it. They are thorough in their analysis, and I trust their results. But I won't give them that final star because of some annoying interactions. If I left the screen for awhile, and it logged me out, then when I logged back in, it didn't exactly take me back to where I left off, but to the beginning of the section I was working on. I had to click through a bunch of screens I had already dealt with. It never lost any entry I previously made but it did annoyingly restore some of my deletions. So a completed return that reviewed perfectly before it logged me out now had review issues. Also there was an error check that complained "accrued market discount should not be 0" that I couldn't get past until I found a work-around on their community web site. It's good I did find it because a promised call-back from a customer service expert never happened.
