Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent until the surprise upcharges. Turbo Tax is an excellent experience, right up until the state e-file upcharge. And then doubled-down and added a 40 dollar "service fee" if the customer wants the 20 dollar charge deducted from their refund. This is simply insulting and petty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Is Very Convenient I like Turbo Tax. But I am always uncomfortable about filling in the blanks correctly because this is the government. IRS will certainly let me know if I made a mistake in filing information. The tax laws and explanations feel complicated. And, I did not always understand. I was tempted to take my tax information to a tax preprepared.

I'd be charged close to $400 for filing, and I never walked away feeling secure about the tax breaks I had received. Turbotax puts the power in my hands to go through every potential deduction for my consulting business, ensuring I'm maximizing my refund. Whoever created Turbotax, thank you! Shout out to the engineers on the backend for making this so incredibly user friendly!
