Rated 1 out of 5 by from what happened to turbo tax in 2020? Unable to deduct charitable contribution, and saw that many others had the same problem. Many things did not carry over from 2019. Turbotax almost cost me1400.00, but i caught the error at the last minute. Makes me wonder what else im losing by using turbo tax?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from TurboTax regressed this year I have been filing my returns annually using TurboTax, first the PC product and then the online product now for over 20 years, without issues. However this year, unfortunately it completely failed me with my 1099. I trade options, and imported my 1099 from my broker; however for every transaction where I had sold the option before it expired, this year it required me to manually go in and review/fix, for tens of such transactions; something that didn't used to happen before. Thus I ended up spending several hours doing my tax return that should have been at most a couple of hours. Also it does not handle international situations, especially addresses very well. I spent a couple of hours with a couple of support specialists to solve above problems, and they couldn't really come up with satisfactory solutions either. Small mercies: the first rep gave me a small discount for my tax fees, though even there the code wouldn't work and I had to open a separate support session to get a new code. Overall, a big fail this year compared to previous years.
