Rated 5 out of 5 by from My CPA was RIGHT!! TURBOTAX is the way to go!! My CPA retired after serving us for more than 30 years, and told us not to worry, just go with TurboTax - and it's just gotten better over the ensuing years. The live help is AWESOME - and sooo reassuring! Love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax online is NOT is not equal to TT on disk I have used Turbo Tax for many years, and liked the way one year moved seamlessly into the next. This year, I did not get to purchase the disk form in a store; everything was online and I waited too long to get it. So, I tried the online version, figuring it would still be what I was used to. No, it was not. I was asked if I had used Turbo Tax before...but never was I given a chance to transfer the info from previous years forward. I had to enter everything from scratch. What a time suck and aggravation. At the end I am told I have to print something and mail it in, and it's a payment voucher. Huh? I entered info for paying what I owed, and was told it was submitted, effective today, tax due day. What the what? Do I now have to mail a check, or just the voucher with a bar code on it. Turbo Tax the disk was MUCH clearer on the filing instructions. I don't know if I will use Turbo Tax again next year or not. If I go back to a purchased program disk and have to reenter everything again, I might just choose to try out some other brand of software.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from $40 fee to pull payment out of refund Try to convince you to do the more expence options the whole time. Don't make the $40 fee to pay with the refund very obvious. Takes 5 min to change payment method. Fairly fast to do is the only reason I didn't put 1 star.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from isn't worth $280 to file taxes I have been a customer for over 12 years. This year was really frustrating. The software makes you do all the work, and rework, and data entry over again. It is hard to pull up documents ( and you can't open a second screen) so you keep having to redo the same steps over and over ... just annoying. It may be my last time using this
