Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than sitting with a Tax Pro! 2020 Tax Return was my first experience of TurboTax and I have been impressed. I was a Senior Tax Analyst for 5 years with H&R Block and after deciding not to do the 2019 Tax Season due to Covid, I did our 2019 return using the H&R Block online software which is also very good but they did NOT process Form 8938 meaning I had to submit the tax return in paper format. It was the same again this year for our 2020 Tax Return so I looked for an alternative and found TurboTax did process Form 8938 and enable eFile, so here I am. The TurboTax online software is a little more detailed than the H&R Block software as that tends to just require easy input of the numbers whereas TurboTax really does drill down into the detail of every entry. For me that was good as it reinforced my belief that the TurboTax software was very precise and hence captured everything. I like the easy flow through the tax return sections with TurboTax, the ability to save and return as tax paperwork gets received and the very simple plain English way you can ask questions within the TurboTax Community. Overall very impressed, we will be coming back next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbotax is a great time saver I find it very user friendly and well organized. The only suggestion I have is that when Turbotax announces that the standard deduction is best for me it shows me the total of my last year's deductions instead of only the itemized deductions I have taken so far. That way I can better decide whether to continue or just take the standard deduction.
