Rated 3 out of 5 by from Getting worse over the years They try everything to obscure the fact that you are paying for federal all the way through the process then when you pay federal and state they try to get you to pay out of your refund by the cost of (surprise, surprise) the exact dollar amount it costs to do your federal or state return. Then when you say no to that and pay via paypal for instance it doesn't actually show you the total amount you are paying until after you hit the confirm pay button. Unnecessarily shady practices as it's a very simple thing to be very upfront when making a payment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality of software is declining I have used Turbotax for many years and I am wondering if the quality of the software is declining. Two years ago when I e-filed Turbotax failed to transmit all the forms which were completed in the return I reviewed on my computer. This led to an extra charge from the IRS which it took a long correspondence to retrieve. Currently I am trying to re-file my 2022 returns which were rejected based on a glitch in the software. The notice I received from TurboTax states that it will be fixed by 2/29/23 but it remains unclear if I need to do something to make the returns acceptable. Unclear how I can get a question answered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very user friendly! This was my first time doing my taxes. I had 3 W2 forms to submit and they made it easy. It does take awhile though so be prepared and have your wallet and info ready to go.
