Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've used them for years They've always made this easy on me, even if you have to pay to make it remember your info each year. But it's easy for me to use, even though I'm horrible when it comes to computers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value The hardest part of TurboTax is getting all the documentation pulled together! Entry of said docs is usually very easy with step-by-step guidance. However, this year I decided to convert a portion of an IRA to a Roth IRA; everything apparently went well until the final check.....ultimately, and after multiple attempts to "FIX" what the software said was in error, Including using "Help" (totally useless), I gave up so that the conversion was not recognized by the software and was just reported as regular income. (I hope the IRS is forgiving at some point when I withdraw from the Roth) This was the only hitch in the system, all else went well. A word to the wise programmer......"FIX" it! Or, if I didn't follow the instructions correctly, "FIX" the instructions to be idiot proof. Thanks

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's OK When entering our income, it never asked about our Social Security income. Considering the fact that we have been using Turbo tax for many years and that we have been receiving SS checks for over 7 years. Luckily I caught the mistake before E filing. Thumbs down to Turbo tax software on this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Full of Bugs This Year First it told me I had an error in my mortgage calculation, couldn't find anything wrong. Then after filling the state out, during the review it took me back to the W2 and had me reenter everything. Then it showed I owned 15,000 and I see where it created two W2s. Also, It kept wanting to have me remove the $300 charitable donation. Please fix the bugs. One more thing, it made me enter my W2. Last year, it just pulled it in electronically.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Outdated 1099R The 1099R form many are getting is outdated and doesn't match what is seen on Turbotax. When asking for help the expert didn't have an answer for the discrepancy. Some institutions are using the 2019 1099R format which has changed for 2020.
