Rated 2 out of 5 by from Upset about change in Deluxe Turbo tax changed their Deluxe edition this year...for the first time it doesn't include a free state. That has been taken away from the Deluxe edition and added to the Premier edition. I've used turbo tax for over a decade, so honestly I didn't bother to read the box...just bought the Deluxe edition as always. Imagine my surprise when my $50 purchase didn't cover my state taxes...and it was an additional $40 to add it to the Deluxe edition. I expected the $20 fee for e-filing state (as that has always been there), but was most unhappy to basically double my cost just to finish filing my taxes tonight. Next year, for the first time, I'll be comparison shopping my tax software.
