Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy I did not feel turbo tax gave all info upfront about the extra cost with state taxes in their upgrade options. The deluxe version was not a single cost for the upgrade. It is $39 for the federal government and $39 for the state. I was too far into the mandated upgrade to turn back and choose differently. I had one small change to my medical expenses that were not my contribution, only by my job, which forced me by turbo tax to upgrade the service to file the tax return. This forced upgrade change in order for me to file took more money than I received on my tax return.
