Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbo tax has gotten more persnickety... I have used Turbo Tax Home & Business for over 10 years. Part of what I like about it is that it imports information from previous years' returns. However, there are still things that it will ask me to go back and look up. This is frustrating! The reason I use TurboTax instead is of using a different software is so that I DO NOT HAVE to go back and look things up! In recent years, TurboTax has begun to charge me to e-file my State return. That was not the case when I first began using TurboTax!! This frustrates me! Also, I have to use a Credit card to pay the fee, or else be charged an additional $40 fee to deduct the Filing fee from my refund. This is FRUSTRATING!! I opened my program to work on my taxes yesterday, but I filed them today. The program updated yesterday when I opened it. THEN, I got to "Transmit my returns" and I got an error message that said the program had to be UPDATED AGAIN before it would transmit my returns. This is FRUSTRATING!! TurboTax used to be a good little Tax prep software. It still is, I guess. I AM entrusting some rather sensitive information, so I sure hope that TurboTax is still trustworthy! BUT, it is the Little Foxes that Spoil the Grapes, so to speak. So I now think of TurboTax with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Will I buy TurboTax next year, despite it being more expensive than some of its competitors? That is unknown at this point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another easy filing!!! The turbo tax format is well designed to make it really easy to input the necessary info and get the filing done quickly. I never complete my filing in one sitting and enjoy the fact that I can exit and enter when ever I want.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbotax Online Product This was my first year using the on-line product due to the age of the operating system on my MAC computer which would not allow me to download the product. The language is not the same when referring to certain items, for example 'Investments' vice 'Interest Income'. The on-line product caused me at least three times the length to prepare my return. Disturbing was the additions to the cost, for example when using the download version, I don't pay extra for a Schedule D. Just another ruse to obtain more profit.
