Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but getting overpiced I have been a TurboTax user for a decade now and while i would recommend the product - the pricing with even promotional discounts is getting out of hand. Next year I will be shopping around for an alternative with better pricing.

I do not like the way you snuck in the E-filing charge of $39.00 at the end just before i submitted it to transmit. (hidden fees suck!!). It cost you nothing to do this. This is just like the hidden fees a used car salesman adds. This left me a bad taste in my mouth after feeling good about Turbo Tax. I would think you make enough money off of your customers as it is without adding this fee.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Glitchy this year On my self employment income it kept telling me my assets needed review, only to trap me in endless circular clicking between assets, expenses and overview. Very annoying and no solution offered without upgrading. Might be time to check out another option?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LUPE I had some questions, so I asked for a call back. Within "MINUTES" a lady named Lupe called me. What a Angel she was. So kind, patient and knowledgeable. Never tried to rush me and explained everything as we went along. You have a TREASURE in Lupe !!

While Turbo Tax does guide you through the basic process of filing, it still needs to do a better job of explaining certain topics, remembering that you are addressing a variety of people with different intellects. Not everyone is an accounting professional. Areas that need more explanation include how to address married couples that file jointly but are not both retired at the same time and have significant age differences. Information is a bit fussy as to how to deal with the Healthcare Plans (Vision, Dental and Medical) and Medicare.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Problems Turbo Tax entered last year's information incorrectly. Very frustrating trying to figure out what went wrong. Also, trying to print was a hassle. It just kept doing a print preview only and then we finally figured we had to print the PDF file on our own.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from MEH Although Turbotax requires me to pay for the premium costly version, it does not carryforward certain deductions from the prior year, such as form 6251 and 8801. I have reported this issue for several years, but they don't fix it.
