Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cannot purchase using home country credit card! I'm a long time overseas American (>30 years) who is forced to do US annual tax returns despite little connection to the US. Turbo Tax is adequate for my complex filing but it burns me to no end that Intuit will not accept a "foreign" credit card where I no longer maintain a credit card in the USA. It forces me to use a US resident family member to purchase this on my behalf. In this age of world-wide commerce, would you please fix this?!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax always gives me a rejection on State. There has to be a glitch in the software when transferring federal information over to state as it is never correct and I keep books for a friend at home and can never correct it!!! Not fun!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tells you to pay at end, can't pay out of return,; I was bugged down by internal ads the entire time, when I am just stressed doing these taxes/forms, it waited until after all the stress of doing my taxes for the first time to tell me I am required to pay, then strung me along with 'pay out of returns' only to tell me after loading (you'd think all of the intellectual/computer support, this would be pre-known and wouldn't offer to me) that I do not qualify to pay out of returns and have to struggle to pay yet another bill just to pay taxes; I can't really afford well or comfortably.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Every Attempt to Upsell their Tax Service Doing taxes is mentally exhausting and the constant upselling TT almost makes a person loss their mind. Their "free" software does NOT include simple Instacart or DoorDash income... that is an additional $129!!! Even if you only made a $600 doing it. Ripoff

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Filing a 1041 using Turbo Tax was a nightmare I have used Turbo Tax to file personal taxes for years and years. This is my first experience using Turbo Tax to do a 1041 for a trust. It was a horrible experience. It took 6 phone calls before I reached Sabrina at the Turbo Tax resolutions desk who answered my rather basic questions. Until then the Turbo Tax personnel I'd spoken with wanted me to call the IRS for them to figure out why the Turbo Tax software was not performing properly. That made no sense to me so I kept calling back until reaching Sabrina, a VERY knowledgeable and helpful person. Unfortunately, even with Sabrina's help, my return was rejected by the IRS and, AGAIN, the only help I got from Turbo Tax was a phone number to the IRS, that I had no choice but to use. I'm very disappointed to find out that Turbo Tax provides absolutely no support for filing a 1041. This whole experience with the 1041 was pricier and way less satisfactory than any time I used Turbo Tax to do my 1040. Also, the ONLY reason I found out about the rejection was when I tried to find out why, a week after filing, I hadn't received any emails from either Turbo Tax or the IRS about the 1041. There are always plenty of emails when I use Turbo Tax to do my 1040 that say, your return has been sent, the IRS received your return, etc. This time with the 1041, crickets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoy the service but shady practices Turbo tax is decent. Not Great. Good. I suspect they get 80-85% of potential refund which for the time savings I am totally okay with. What I am not okay with is shady practices like hiding deluxe subscriptions to their services behind button clicks like, "Pay taxes from my refund." It's shady and frankly insulting because they KNOW they are preying on people not paying attention.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbotax could be so much better I started my s-corp last year as a side project and never got around to doing anything with it. There should be an easy method for companies in this same scenario to file an easy "non-op" return if there was no business performed
