Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great but expensive In a gig economy where even working class folks have to play with minor stock exchange stuff to make a few bucks on the side, it's really disappointing when you have to significant amounts of money to file your taxes. The program and software are easy to use which is nice, but it is a real struggle to wade through taxes, get pennies of a refund and pay over $100 for help filing when you lost money in selling less than $50 of stocks last year. I also couldve sworn that the offer was for the upgrade to be only $29 but I was charged more than $100. It's frustrating when you're already having trouble navigating the system and not making much money to begin with. But if you make a lot of money and can afford an easy to use service, the fact that it pairs well with different institutions is convenient

Rated 1 out of 5 by from confusing I feel like I was coerced into paying for my taxes to be done, which I am pretty sure is illegal and had lead this company to being subject to several class action lawsuits in the past, however I did not have time nor the patience to maneuver this, purposefully, intricate site to try and fix this. My only solace is that I will get my money back through another inevitable class action lawsuit that seems common in this country.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbotax makes things easy. Everything was very helpful, the tips were excellent. If you want to avoid paying for extra services be very careful especially at the end. I didn't intend to pay an extra $59, beyond standard turbotax but I guess I forgot to check one box and was charged $118. It was fine, but I wish there was a way to cancel the offers from the get go and ONLY use standard Turbotax.
