Rated 2 out of 5 by from YOU GET TO THE END AND THEY WANT MORE INFO I hit the electronic file button and they asked for more info my AGL from last year and a business code. The business code WAS NOT required by the IRS but was only used for big brother statistical purposes. A simple notice about that in the message would have been helpful. I have done my taxes by computer since the 90's using first Macintax then turbotax.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbotax Live support is GREAT! I wish TurboTax would explain why something is required especially when it is ambiguous. After struggling through an Error in the review process I finally decided to try to get LIVE help, and it was great! I didn't have to wait long for a callback (even on TAX DAY! and the time estimate was right on), and then we did a FaceTime (although I don't use the camera on my laptop it worked fine). The agent could (mostly) see my screen and we walked through the issue, which wasn't at all obvious but we finally got to where I understood what had caused the problem - an unnecessary option that I had backed off from but which had left a hidden residual problem; I fixed it and bingo, off to file the return. THANK YOU TurboTax, and to the agent whose name I've forgotten.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax is awesome, but GREEDY!! Seriously think that TurboTax is charging more and more each year. This year I checked out the Basic version since I didn't have much to claim this year. I had 2 state taxes to fill out as well and they charged $45 each state to just do the work plus another $25 each state to e-file. Really??? All together costing me $190.00 to do my taxes!! Hmmm, next time I'm going another route which has been recommended to me to do, that will charge me nothing.
