Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbotax tried sucking all of my money I tried to just do my taxes without all of the ads that wanted me to spend money on help I didn't need. The website needs to be much more concise and easy to opt out of select services at any point during the filing process. After spending an hour trying to figure out how to use their most basic service I was able to file my taxes but it was hard to believe that I couldn't get rid of the Live feature without having to restart the whole process because going back to the basic plan felt like it was hidden when there should be a separate tab that allows you to explore the different options instead of it being placed in between the sections of filing. I found it to be the most frustrating at the payment selection since while it does display what you're paying for it doesn't allow you to go back and try and remove some of the extra services, but of course it does allow you to spend an extra $60 on something that was already advertised throughout the whole process. Anyone trying to use TurboTax should be very skeptical about anything that seems good because it is all hidden behind a paywall that is not as helpful as it seems to be. I am grateful that there is a military discount but the sheer amount of advertising for services that I already declined multiple times is outright unacceptable. >:(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax Business is Very Good The software is great for all types of company & Estate returns. And it generates to complicated K-1's in the process. The only problems I run into is when the IRS adds some new information requirement, or TurboTax (TT) adds a feature. Not sure what triggered it, but TT had a new Shareholder Basis worksheet for S-Corp's this year. That's positive, so the company and each shareholder would not need to calculate it manually, using data from the K-1 that TT generates anyway. But as with most new features (or requirements) there is an inconsistency with the IRS Guidelines on how to calculate the Tax Basis. I haven't found the answer as to who is right - but the TT Tax Experts are trying to help me find out the correct way to calculate it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Charged my credit card with incorrect info They charged my credit card to file my return for state first, THEN FORCED me to make erroneous changes to my file before allowing me to submit. Thanks TurboTax. Won't be using again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is becoming expensive Turbo Tax is becoming more expensive every year. This year I could not use my tax return to pay for my Turbo Tax fees. They insist on you upgrading every step of the way, which I get, but this is becoming more about money than it is helping people safely pay their taxes. I've been a loyal customer for years, and honestly, I will remain that way, because I have always used them. However as someone that has seen many changes and updates for Turbo Tax, at some point it becomes too much with everything else increasing in prices as well.
