Rated 2 out of 5 by from Abe transfer from Hema Overall ok experience. Abe - 5* but was the last mile CPA on my return. Hema - 3* Turbo tax - 2* Good but lengthy engagement with Hema. Return was like ~12 total hours on calls. She notified me late in the process that we had to upgrade to a higher version of TurboTax. This isn't on the website. "complex taxes" isn't a SKU on the pricing page, suggest it gets added. Second, had to transfer CPA's because of NY filing. I explained all of this up front, with the assistant, my first call with Hema, and its on my W2, wish someone caught that sooner. Much of this can be fixed via better training and more transparent pricing on Turbo tax pages. This is my 3rd time on full service, I'd expect the experience to get better not worse.The whole 'stay on the line the whole time' is unnecessary when I'm clearly responsive and I've uploaded 90% of the needed docs and hunted the rest down in short order. Give customers a rating such that if they're 'bad/unresponsive' make them stay on the line. Not me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hiccups resolved by terrific customer service! I have been using Turbo Tax for 10 years and have experience great results. This year, on March 20, 2023, with the Premier CD version, when I attempted to enter my 1099-R amounts, (I had the 1099s), I received a message that the IRS is still working on finishing up the distributions from pensions. It advised to proceed with other sections of Turbo Tax. Being well into tax season, I didn't understand how that could be. The message advised that I should click on the link requesting an email notification when "the form" was ready". Fortunately, about 2 hours later, I received the email that I could proceed. Secondly, as I entered information into the Income/1099 section, I would correctly answer "yes or no" to questions, only to find when I finished the section, the answers had been deleted or incorrectly switched. In order to correct this issue, customer service assisted me in retrieving the actual IRS1099 worksheet forms in Turbo Tax and manually correcting the information. Customer service couldn't provide an explanation for the malfunctions in the Income/1099 section. I do want to emphasize that two the Turbo Tax customer service representatives assisting me were very patient and resolved this issue. They were terrific!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love Turbo Tax I have been using Turbo Tax for about 30 years, without any problems. Before I started using Turbo Tax I was getting audited every other year. I have only had one audit since then and that was on me (fat fingers). So, I'm staying with it.
