Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tech help is excellent, but the software has bugs I spoke with two agents to solve my problems: Tom, and Tana. Tom was good, and Tana was excellent. But while filling out the forms went fairly well, some serious problems erupted. For one, the program kept giving me the error that I had duplicate 1099-R entries. I didn't. The problem was that it identified each entry by the payor Id and amount - it didn't use the account number. So, to fix it, I had to change the tax amount by a penny. So, basically, a little lie fixed the problem! The second issue was that it said I couldn't file using the no cost method because I had "foreign" income. I didn't. Strangely, the fix was simply to delete my 1099-INT form and reenter it. No data at all changed, but the "foreign" error went away! Weird.

Not only did Turbotax not do that, but they provided an extremely user friendly experience that made filing my state and federal taxes easy and stress-free.
