Rated 1 out of 5 by from ABSOLUTELY ANNOYING AND WASTES A LOT OF TIME Always asks you to review your answers, then asks again, and again, and again, and again.. then again and again... feels like you are always going in circles, even though you correct any mistakes, super frustrating and annoying. would not recommend to anyone. For the price, you would expect the software to save time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buggy, confusing, regulatory capture Pinwheels of death on the mac happen regularly, as well as crashes. Part-year income for New York State is very confusing and bugged when allocating RSUs in IT-203-F, as Turbotax incorrectly allocates all that income as capital gains. You have to add a bizarre negative amount in one of the worksheets to avoid triple-counting income. Entering information in IT-203-F is completely insane, you have to find a hidden scroll bar that magically creates new instances of the form. You have to do this possibly dozens of times, depending on the amount of RSU allocations you have to enter. Overall it would have been significantly easier to just manually do the taxes, but turbotax has lobbied the state of New York to require e-file through private companies. Absolutely horrible product and company.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing The initial tax return estimator said my return would be $2500. I claim the standard deduction with no dependents and no special circumstances, and my refund is $1700. Don't offer the tax return estimator if it's so wildly inaccurate. I will never use TurboTax again.
