Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbotax is easy! Used for years. Just 1 complaint Turbotax is easy to use - i've been using it for years. Provides simple, easy to follow instructions.. The instructions seem clearer this year with less legalese lingo and convoluted if this-then this statements My one complaint is that this year, i had a stock that "spun off" shares. In lieu of issuing partial shares, the stock gave a cash payout for the partial share. That $6 cash payout was filed with a 1099-B --- which i couldn't account for without upgrading to TurboTax Premium. End result: my $6 payout (which was $1 in capital gains) ended up costing me an extra $59 for the software upgrade to Premium. SERIOUSLY thought about using a different system but in the end, it wasn't worth the hassle to redo the entire return, especially since i am a bit of a procrastinator. I'll think hard about my choice next year, knowing what i know now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long-time user Been using TurboTax for years. As a non-active CPA, I find the program very easy to use and very thorough. I've yet to have a problem with my tax returns filed via TurboTax. Can't imagine using a different program or preparing my return manually!
