Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbotax is almost perfect - had problem this year I've used Turbotax for many years and never had a problem. This year I turn 72 and I have to deal with Required Minimum Distribution on my pension plan that was converted to a lifetime annuity last year. It was very difficult to figure out which options to select. Got errors any path I took. I tried the Turbotax Live Expert. Did you know you have to create an account and pay similar to having your taxes done completely? Quite misleading. I waited 2 hours on the phone for IRS help before hanging up. I called my pension plan administrator and their advice was comforting in that they confirmed all my answers in Turbotax should have been correct. Still got the error that box 9a of my 1099-r was not between the acceptable limits. I called my Financial Advisor. He agreed with me and my pension plan administrator. Must be glitch in TurboTax. I continued past the error message to complete my return, but just before transmission, the error came up again! I was not going to be allowed to transmit. In desperation, I blanked out box 9a, and the transmission went through. I'd be worried about audit except all the experts agree that there is no way a lifetime annuity can require a RMD.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax is good, but it could be AWESOME! I have been using TurboTax Business and TurboTax Home & Business for years now; however, this year the new form 7203 stumped me. I wish that the help was better. The online community had a lot of information that were also incorrect. In the end, my CPA was able to assist me.
