Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wasted months of my time I wasted two months of my time trying to amend my 2019 taxes through e File and wasted hours on end trying to speak to someone competent enough to try and assist me with my problems e Filing. When I finally got someone who wanted to help me, they spoke to their supervisor who said their program is outdated and cant e file 2019 returns even though the IRS says you can. This has been by far the most lengthy and inconsiderate way a company can assist their customer with filing their taxes and I will NEVER be using turbo tax again, as it was not in fact "Turbo" after all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Consultant I've been using Turbotax for years and I am very, very happy with it EXCEPT when I have returns that are a little out of the norm. For instance I did the tax returns for my son who is in the military and Turbotax failed me completely in highlighting how state returns are so different for the military. There should have been some sort of a red flag when I stated that my son was in the military. For me, of course, I didn't know what I didn't know and the software should have given a signal. I often work in several states and I find that the allocation could be clearer, particularly when you may have things like unemployment which is taxable in one state and not in another. Perhaps you should have a simple worksheet that makes this allocation clear and simple and highlights potential issues.
