Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Mac Friendly Business version and state versions are not available for Macs TurboTax software does not allow for gifts of LLC ownership. It can only treat the gift as a sale. LLCs are frequently used to gift ownership for estate planning purposes. This is a significant hole in functionality that could easily be fixed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Hassel Tax Returns Every Year I've used TurboTax for nearly 10 years and wouldn't consider using another service to file my taxes! No matter what life events take place or how tax codes change from year to year, I am confident TurboTax can walk me through filing without tears or screams. (Well, maybe when the return amount comes in there are tears of joy and screams of excitement.) I always recommend TurboTax. Thanks for another stress-free return!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1095-A Health Insurance Marketplace Statement It was good except for the fact I had to go back and find out why I wasn't asked if I had received a form 1095-A for Health Insurance Marketplace Statement, and how to fill out the needed info for the return filing after I had remarked at the very start that I had one. If it weren't that I had read the form letter when received with the statement and knew it had to be included somehow in my return, this would have been easily omitted and I could be liable for a portion of repayment (per the form letter statement). Turbo Tax was going to file the return without the inclusion of this 1095-A info.... I had to go back and do a search to figure out what to do with it and enter it. I don't think this was clear at all and being a common form I think it should be included in the questions asked. I also think I may have overpaid for the Turbo Tax service as it included a self-employment income form that I did everything I could find to show that I did not have any of this income for 2022, although I had a very small amount for 2021.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mislead and treated very unfairly I have always been a customer of Turbotax because filing taxes is efficient and they do a good job. However, this year, my experience was extremely negative. My tax return is very simple and I wanted to use the Free version of turbotax, which is appropriate. I had gone through the entire return and was ready (and happy) to submit when the software told me that I had to upgrade to premium for 120 dollars. The reasoning was because I had filed some stocks (of which every values was $0 except for a $0.07 return). They would not let me switch to the free version and had not prompted me early in the process. This was very dishonest and unfair. In the end I had to pay for Turbotax premium. I will never be using this service again and will tell my friends and family to not use this software.
