Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very helpful, but could be better I couldn't prepare a 1041 without TT, as I am a lay person. However, I found it quite frustrating that there was no step-by-step that addressed items on my 1099. Specifically, these included places to enter 1099-OID. The help pages were totally misleading. I think perhaps the instructions there were designed for the 1040 product. Also, it would have been quite helpful if there had been information I could find about the rules for allocating distributions of taxable income vs. tax-exempt income. I wanted to distribute the taxable income, but it seems that is not allowed, based on the response of the program.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from TurboTax is Slipping The User Interface design is not well thought out, like it was designed by inexperienced people. I have been doing my taxes with TurboTax for over 30 years and have never before thought to give it a poor review - the 2022 tax year will be the first. Shame on you, Intuit, for squandering the reputation of a good product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Product It could have been easier except for the trouble i encountered with last year's car record, which i did not know how to correct. But i put in for a call and Laurice called me in 5 minutes and helped me correct the issue. It took about 30 minutes, but we figured it out. Otherwse, a nice product which accomodates many complexities.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from sell overpriced product With a miniscule amount listed in capital gains (2a column of 1099-Div), Turbo Tax required a $129 upgrade. This is much larger than The Deluxe, Premier, or Home and Business versions and was in addition to the cost of the purchased deluxe program . Also, the $10 credit for in-product add-ons (listed on the cover of the disk sleeve) apparently wasn't applied.
