But I have a housing allowance and I do not know where to put that into my tax form. Example: a $40k distribution with a $20k housing allowance. How is that allowance reported?

WHEN I TRIED TO ACCESS THE FORMS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM IT TURNED INTO A JOB. ANY HELP LOOKED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO COST $, IT JUST WASN'T SMOOTH. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND AS SIMPLE AS MY TAXES ARE I SHOULDN'T HAVE WORKED SO MUCH.

If you have a simple tax return, you can file for free yourself with TurboTax Free Edition, or you can file with TurboTax Live Assisted Basic or TurboTax Live Full Service Basic at the listed price.

A simple tax return is one that's filed using IRS Form 1040 only, without having to attach any forms or schedules. Only certain taxpayers are eligible.
