Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Worked again this year The product worked well, however the download of one of the 1099-R forms had the EIN incorrect in one digit and resulted in a reject by IRS.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fees and fees During 2021 I had to work as a 1099 employee temporarily to supplement my income. Apparently everyone has to make their buck, and Turbotax feels the need to charge us an exorbitant fee just to file a 1099. God forbid you want to file expenses as well to maximize your return, that'll cost TRIPLE! Unforgiveable! This will be the last year using Turbotax, as nothing is truly free, 1099 employees like myself have a hard enough time getting consistent liveable income and paying nearly $150 as well as needing to pay $49 per state is just outrageous. I also have to elect to use my federal return money to pay for the services, and that is a further $39 fee that is not obviously billboarded anywhere throughout the process until the election to do so. I will NOT be filing through TurboTax next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1st time using Turbo Tax I was always skeptical but it walked me through every step- Form W2, Mortgage, to 1099 stocks and crypto- It even uploads the information from my stock accounts into the system for me with all trades. Very easy to use! Plus the fee can be deducted from Federal Returns!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax makes it easy! Turbo Tax has simplified the entire process of doing taxes and made "tax time" much less stressful as a result. The only issue I had this year was with the mortgage lenders section which would not allow me to enter a "0" balance for a loan that has been paid off, but I think I got that straightened out and all is completed and filed now. Thank you for another relatively painless tax filing season.
