Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not free If you received a 1095-A, you have to file it, and that requires an additional form, so TT will require you to purchase Deluxe. That’s $59 for the Fed, and an additional amount disclosed later for the state (CA is $49). That’s $108. Courtesy of my “premium” tax credit by way of ACA insurance during a period I was a contractor, my federal taxes were reduced $12. In addition to charging $108 for $12 off my taxes, Turbo Tax then announced, “you’re getting money back!” This is only true on a technicality. I still owe the IRS, as was clearly displayed in their running refund calculator; I just owe $12 less than I did before they charged me $108. I actually went so far as to clear my information and start a new return with H&R Block, but they do exactly the same thing with only slightly more deception ahead of time, so Intuit got my money after all. Next year, I’ll just do them the old fashioned way. It’s quicker without all the graphics telling me how hard turbo tax is working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Expert was Awesome! The Turbo Tax Live Expert Steve was an immense help answering questions and helping our family to complete our 99 year old Uncle John. The best way to describe his help: excellent listener, enjoyable to work with because he put us at ease dealing with an unfamiliar and new IRS return for our deceased uncle. I would recommend Turbo Tax and Steve to anyone that requires assistance and accuracy on their filed forms.
