Rated 5 out of 5 by jannes715 Great Help So glad I started using TurboTax. It's so easy to use and gives a clear step-by-step guide on filling out your form. Clarifies and answers questions on what specific deductions or other tax information that isn't always clear when you do it on your own. When I've filed with TT in the past, by refund comes much quicker as well, which is always a bonus! March 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by EconJohn Great, but still room to improve K-1's for Master Limited Partnerships should be made to download directly into Turbo Tax. The walk through for MLP K-1's does not always match up with actual paper K-1's received. This leaves me to think that errors are probably being made in this area. March 30, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by JohnfromDayton Finally Finished - Some Confusing Parts Come on, another $30 need to file the sale of a mutual fund? This should be included in Delux Also, Very frustrating to not have a 1099-b Box E selection. When I had TurboTax grab the info from Fidelity, it even showed (incorrectly) the numbers imported to Box B. However, when I printed the forms this was the only place that showed the information was indeed placed in Box E (correct), not Box B (incorrect). - This needs to be corrected!!!!! Very frustrating. Rated 5 out of 5 by mike129999999 Pretty good I don't know if I would characterize 529 contributions as unusual. Also it told me on the screen that I did not have any last year, but when I got to the comparison screen it showed that I did have a value in there. Might want to check the logic in the prior year validation. March 30, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by PKGK Turbo I am no tax wiz, but this was simple enough to do. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by killafive Excellent software This was the least expensive and easiest taxes I've ever done. Will recommend for the usability and cost. Much better than going to a tax professional. March 30, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Leo1234567 Disappointed this year I have used TT for the last 5 years or so. Typically it is a painless process. I am military, living in CA, so as one my expect our taxes are complicated when it comes to residency. We entered all of our data and W-2s (accurately). Then when we update my wife's state of residency, TT automatically changed the W-2 state taxes line. This was not good TT... not good at all. The data we entered were accurate. We paid income tax to the state that we are not residents, but instead TT made it so we were filing to get a refund from our resident state. TT did not indicate that it automatically changed the data prior to filing. So then I had to go back and change the form data (back to what I entered before) and file an amendment. I am not happy and would like TT to contact me as to why they felt it better to automatically change data that were manually entered. Why have me enter it if the system is going to change it automatically? I am sure I will hear nothing and there will be no attempt to fix this (I WANT THE COST TO E-FILE REFUNDED...amendments have to be mailed.) I will stop here as I can feel my blood pressure spiking and nothing good will come from it. March 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by puddlejumperpat Cheaper than an accountant I'm not savvy to many technical terms and uses so get confused easily. March 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by JoeSoMD Never Again TurboTax used to make it easy for me to file my taxes. Their requirement that their software MUST be updated before E-filing really set me back because, for whatever reason, their software will not update, either through their automatic software update push or via the download/manual install method that they claim works if the automatic push does not. Time to find another tax program. Good riddance TurboTax! March 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by lovittd Unfortunately necessary For someone who has done his own taxes for years using paper and pencil, it is very frustrating to work with a program that forces entries into preset categories. There is very little room for adjustments and answers to simple questions are hard to come by. March 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Frustrated1198 This year NOT impressed I have used Turbo Tax for years and have to say this year was TERRIBLE. Aside from having to reload the program several times there were errors not even allowing me to e-file the federal return at all because the updates still did not work. Additionally, if you have moved at all do NOT use this program. You are charged an additional $50 for the additional state return plus $30 to e-file EACH state. When you've already paid $80 for the program you might as well save the time, hassle, and headache of the program force closing and deleting data and just use that nearly 200 on an accountant who can handle the headache for you. Rated 5 out of 5 by Najaf First Year for Rental Property This is the first year we had rental property and a home office. The step-by-step process was really easy, and I immediately understood the tax impacts, or lack thereof. Just very straightforward. Thank you! March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by TXSteelMagnolia Reeling in the Refund Use Turbo Premier to do my taxes and the whole family's taxes. Great program with easy to follow directors and help when you need it. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by GeorgeinNC Helped with small business 2013 was the first year for my small business. Turbotax made it easy to do my own taxes. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by cdmeyer Great product for do-it-yourself knowledgable type I enjoy this product, and have used it for a number of years. Downside is that I do think it requires some basic knowledge of tax to make sure you answer the prompts correctly. The prompts only walk you through the right forms if you answer the questions right. It is nice that you can select for a tax professional to review your forms. March 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by MKfuse Solid tool It would be great if TurboTax asked the me to enter or "check off" all the forms that I received prior to starting. I have had times where I finished answering all the questions, but I still have forms to account for. March 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by KrisMorrison For the first time this year, we bought the deluxe edition that included the state tax forms. Copying all the information from the federal to the state worked very well. However, Turbo Tax charges $25 to e-file the state forms. This fee is not apparent until the last step before filing. Since Ohio has a descent FREEE e-file website, this makes no sense. So, after using Turbo Tax to compute the numbers, I now have to go the state web site and re-enter everything. Since this is the last step, it leaves a very bad last impression of Turbo Tax. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Steve123459 Couldn't complete my taxes mysel without Turbo Tax I've been using TurboTax for over a decade now and the investment data uploading directly from accounts has been improved dramatically. It speeds up the process of completing my taxes.. March 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by MrJez 2013 Turbo Tax review Overall, helps do the taxes on your own and you should know your tax/financial situation. Some items like PA local tax forms still need to be done manually, would hope local tax authorities get these electronically done as they would be more accurate. Will keep buying TurboTax until something better or cheaper comes out. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Myfloorguy Most Excellent Experience !! I purchased Turbo tax AFTER trying to do my return with HR Block. I was having problems finishing my return and they wouldn't let me e-file due to 'issues'...that their program couldn't help me fix...Even after 2 online sessions with their tax advisors. I got Turbo tax, entered the same info - the program caught and identified the issues and easily helped me address them. I will be using this program from now on... Thanks Turbo Tax !! March 30, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by 8497 TurboTax Premier 2013 Overall TurboTax Premier is a good product. It was helpful for handling rental property. Step by Step can be a bit confusing when you resume entering information. It should return you to where you left off instead of going back to the beginning. Entering information for sale of the property was a nightmare. It was not at all clear how to do it, and there is no help in the instructions nor on-line. I never got an answer from the on-line forum. I finally figured out how to do it. This process consumed multiple hours. March 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by chengrich Income tax made easy TurboTax is a good program. Just follow the instructions and your tax will be done. Only drawback is that it is not clear how the numbers are generated. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rubailey This process is the easiest way to file your taxes. I use it for myself and my son. Even though I have to pay, my son got his refund in record time. March 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by SBA47 TP Combat Zone Codes for Military (State Taxes) I selected National Guard while completing the State Taxes. During 2013 I was in the National Guard all of 2013 but I DID NOT deploy to a combat zone during that timeframe. When I did the final review, Turbo Tax flagged me for not entering TP Combat Zones Codes / QHDA. Since I didn't deploy to a combat zone, I had no further data to enter. After trying multiple other things, I ultimately was forced to go back into the state taxes and select non military or similar choice so that I could finish processing the return. This of course makes no sense since I was in fact a fulltime member of the Air National Guard for the entire year! Recommend your programmers edit the choices/functions of this section on next version. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stephen501 $98 totally worth the money Last year I had HR Block recalculate my taxes because I thought I was making a mistake in my turbo tax calculations. I paid $905 to HR block only to realize that I was using Turbo Tax correctly. I paid $98 for turbo tax. I have no doubt turbo tax is the best Tax calculator for the price. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Willemmer Excellent, with one glitch We filed federal and two states, Indiana and Ohio. For the Ohio form, we read in the IRS instructions that we could override a couple of the entries that were automatically populated by the software ... having to do with "adjustments to income" and receiving credit for taxes paid as non-resident of Ohio. During the review process, the software said there were no errors. When we went to e-file, however, we were told we could not e-file without undoing the "overrides" we had done (per the IRS instructions) and so had to file the Ohio form by mail. Unfortunately, the software had already charged our credit card for the efile fee ($24.99), and so we'll have to try to get that credited back. The software should tell you of all obstacles to filing before it charges the credit card for an e-file. March 30, 2014
