Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well but remains confusing for authors Turbo Tax worked well and was easily navigated but there are still recurring questions about book authorship that remain unresolved. Turbo Tax and/or the US Tax Code seems to think that the $45 per year I make in book royalties on a single book I wrote ten years ago counts as some kind of business or side business and therefore must be treated as primary income. Though I have discussed this in past TT reviews and made numerous cogent suggestions for improvement, the wording remains extremely confusing causing me much wasted time and frustration every time I fill out my taxes. I am still not clear as to the proper way to report this income so would you please do me the favor of fixing this problem for authors who do not make their living as writers? Thank you.
