Rated 1 out of 5 by from So many hidden fees?? I like the ease of TurboTax but I was so confused and upset to find a $50 charge just to file my state and federal taxes at the same time. There were no alternative options offered and the wording was weird vague. Based on the way the options were laid out, I did not even think I was electing the $50 option until I saw it at the end of the whole thing. And $120 to be able to report business expenses...? Why? Right as I was about to pay the $110 for my upgrade to deluxe (so that i could report freelance earnings) and the mystery $50 charge, the price jumped up to $160 or $210 I believe for some service ("Max?" "Pro"?) which I had not clicked on. The "remove" button was artfully concealed. I'm sad because I've always found TurboTax good and easy to use but I will have to look elsewhere because I don't want to be caught off guard with more hidden fees.
