Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Compromise between Free Version and Pro help My taxes are way too complicated to do myself, and even if I could, it would take too long. I don't want to spend the money and effort on enlisting the help of a tax professional, partly because I want to stay involved enough to recognize smart tax decisions the rest of the year. TurboTax Deluxe has been the perfect compromise for me. I don't understand most of the details of the tax codes, but I just follow TurboTax's prompts and everything seems to magically fall into place. Unless we as a nation somehow actually simplify our ridiculous tax code, TurboTax will always be a critical tool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Even premium didn't do everything Turbotax Premier is required even when someone sells a couple of stocks or bonds? Schedule D is just one of the simplest and basics of a fairly simple tax return. The additional cost for filing the simple form that I could have filled out myself almost stopped me from using your product this year. I am also not happy that after paying for the "premium" version, it didn't even support form 709 which I will have to file separately this year. Older Americans are trying to help their kids buy expensive houses in this challenging economy. I don't believe the Turbotax excuse that this form is too rare to support.
