Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE ME TURBO TAX I was always overwhelmed with the thought of preparing and submitting my taxes myself and paid way too much money for someone to prepare them for me. Turbo Tax has been an amazing tool and extremely helpful. I actually like doing my taxes!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Annoyed this year I was really upset this year because I was forced (that's right forced to use premium) by turbotax, to add additional investments which turned out to not be needed but I couldn't deselect my now expensive selection, I didn't have time to go somewhere else because of the deadline. It is really annoying to see a site take advantage of people just because they are now making a bit more. Yet my mother was able to file for free and her options to upgrade were for $29 or $59. I was forced to pay $119. Annoyed

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Felt Like I Was Tricked I typed "Turbo Tax Free File" into google when I started my taxes this year, and was of course immediately connected with TurboTax's site. I used the free file option in years past, so I was surprised towards the end of my filing that TurboTax actually charged me for TurboTax Premium. I never opted into this option at any point as I was filing my taxes, so I feel like there was a good amount of dark patterns associated with my online experience. That's pretty disappointing. I would have used one of the other free online tax services if I realized that TurboTax would actually charge me after advertising their free option. I don't really trust TurboTax at this point, so I'll likely use another tax option going forward. Easy to use otherwise.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Last Dance Everything system wise worked ok besides not being able to take the up charge off\. It wasnt required to do my simple short form, but once your in i guess there isnt any backing out with being charged to much for unnecessary services.
