Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's not free! And you pay a lot for a side gig! I have used Turbo Tax for many, many years. I like that it carries over information from the prior year. However, it is not free, free, free like the commercial says. It gets annoying to see it because it is misleading. This year I paid $160 and couldn't get any tax help unless I paid even more! It may be time to go back to an accountant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Broker Import 1099 Tax Exempt needs review and fix The feature to import 1099 forms from a brokerage is very helpful. However the import combines both Taxable and Tax-Exempt reporting on a single 1099, which has now resulted for the 2nd year in the need to make manual adjustments to imported 1099s in order to have correct and separate entries for things like Accrued Interest Paid and Bond Premium. I can figure out the changes needed in order to reconcile Tax-Exempt Income for IRS reporting requirements, but I don't like to manually tamper with 1099 entries. I think this is an area that should be reviewed (including entering line-item Tax Exempt amounts for various states and Adjustments) and fixed by TurboTax.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax is a blessing Coming from someone who is low-income, it's a blessing to have this free option for taxes. It's the most user friendly site I've been on, which is a blessing in itself too! Doing taxes is overwhelming as it is - to find a option that doesn't cause extra stress while doing them, is all a customer can ask for.
