Rated 1 out of 5 by from Incredibly expensive For what ought to be a free service, turbo tax charges a lot of money just to file. $39 for basic filing, but when I was filing my 1099-b, they couldnt do it without the premium version ($69). So I upgraded. Went to file, and one of the last steps detailed the TurboTax fees - $39 + $69 = $108. Huh? Didn't think the upgrade was a stacked charge. Oh well. No option to remove these charges, so inevitably continue. Then when I get to the payment section, it says the fees total $159. TurboTax Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hidden fees self employment filing is $89 but its an additional $39 to pay with the refund totaling $129!! I dont recall seeing a prompt telling me this before I got to the payment screen. After seeing it at the end, I wasn't going all the way back to that part (Im sure most of us wont, that how they make money)
