Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what it used to be I obviously still use the service, and it does help with my relatively complicated taxes. But if they would spend more time explaining and helping one resolve difficult questions and less time with silly emojis and puerile cheerleading and animations, it would be much better. It's the kind of dumbing-down that is all too common nowadays, and it's a shame that this unfortunate trend has expanded to include even something like tax prep software where serious attention to detail should prevail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 10 years of TurboTax - we love it. Overall a solid program for Tax Preparation. A couple hiccups this year: * I received a 1099-S this year, which was not a normal form for me. There is no form to fill out for this document. Had to call an accountant to see how to accurately complete this item (added to Schedule D) * eBay sale of personal items were problematic. Entered the K-1 information but came up at the end for fixing a problem. Had to dig a bit to find the second area to input the original cost basis information. Ran smoothly once I figured that piece out. * Received a form 1065 which is an annual event. A "Z" in Box 20 referenced a statement on the supplemental for a $1 loss. Entered the loss but could not fix the error. Only way to fix it was to remove the box 20 entry; even though the dollar matched overall it would not complete.

Especially for this being my first time doing it on my own. This is two first for me. Filing and filing online. I loved it thank you for the experience!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've used Turbo Tax annually for years The clarity provided in each of the sections, and the ability to import annual 1099s and other forms directly from financial institutions--makes the job of filing very straight forward.

I couldn't figure out how to get back to the screen where you start the next section that needed to be completed in order to continue w/my return. I couldn't find instructions to do this. I conected in person with Valerie and she was sooooo patient and showed me exactly what to do. I appreciated that I could see her as she helped me.
