Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax needs some updates Turbo Tax needs to include the death of a spouse, the IP PIN NUMBER that was issued by the IRS before the death of a spouse needs to be addressed so that the surviving spouse can submit the documents online to the IRS on time and receive if any refunds that are due without the IP PIN NUMER of the deceased spouse. The fact that Deceased is entered on a tax return should VOID any IP PIN number or signature and the surviving spouse signs the tax return and files on line. Mailing a tax return is beyond comprehension when the death should be common sense that the deceased can not sign or enter the issued IP PIN NUMBER. Very frustrating to say the least. Unless this is addressed for next year, I for one will not be purchasing Turbo Tax after this year, I will file on line thru the IRS or take all to a Tax Office and pay to file. This problem is not new and should have been addressed years ago. Mailing the documents only slows down the process of receiving any refunds that may be due which only puts more stress on the surviving spouse to pay bills. A deceased spouse is just that , Deceased and no longer has the ability to sign or enter any IP PIN NUMBER this should have died with the Deceased spouse. Take Note : The Relationship Line left out Widow Or Widower, and The Life Changes Review Line, needs to add Widow or Widower , not everyone is Married, Single, Living with a partner at the time of using Turbo Tax to file Taxes but did have life changes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Experienced Turbo Tax User- Just One Suggestion I have been using Turbotax since I began filing for my taxes in my adult life. I like how Turbotax helps the user step through the process step by step. Turbotax is very user friendly. HOWEVER, this year it did not have the step that had me submit my California 1095-A. I thought that was unusual. Sure enough, my Federal and State got rejected. I called Turbotax and gave them the feedback to PLEASE make it one of the mandatory steps to enter a 1095-A so this step is not skipped. I was stressed out for 2 days and I thought I needed to get an accountant to manually enter this myself. My time would have been saved if it was very clear where to enter this information. Otherwise, my experience with Turbotax was VERY USER FRIENDLY. Please make this addition again. My customer service agent was very friendly. =) I give her 5 Stars

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thank you! Ms. Jane was so awesome! She helped me patiently and kindly through all the complicated steps and held my hand to the very end of filing the return. Hope to see her again next year! Also please make Turbo tax user friendly for filing India related foreign income and foreign taxes paid. It's extremely confusing and time consuming and I'm never sure if I'm doing it right.
