Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product needs real versioning and revision history I've used TurboTax for more than 20 years. The last few years have seen no real description of changes made with each patch update, and no published revision history anywhere. This is pretty annoying for those of us with complicated returns who tend to wait until the final week before the filing deadline, just in case an update is released that affects our particular tax situation. How would we know if that were the case or not? Also, the version number displayed in Programs and Features on Windows (and all the various version strings on the Components tab in the "About TurboTax" window) looks nothing like the actual tax year and release update numbers that we would expect to see there. How are we supposed to know that "021.0000.0572" is the same as "Tax Year 2021, R.25 Update"? On the plus side, TurboTax certainly beats busting out the green visor and printing calculator and figuring this all out by hand... Please give us humanly intelligible versioning and a real revision history and I will change my next review to five stars.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Lacks navigation to find what you need especially on the state returns. The state returns lacks any explanation about how they came up with certain numbers. I get that the calcs are guaranteed but how can I make sure they are using the right inputs (that I put the right numbers in)? Also, why not put the completed forms BEFORE the filing section and where are all the supporting forms? Very confusing to have to enter all the e-filing info before being able to review the final docs.
