Turbo Tax Live was unfortunately a very frustrating experience for me UNTIL I got connected with Phyllis who was able to confirm the accuracy of my taxes. I still have many frustrations with the service (both organizationally and ethically), for which I believe should grant myself a bigger break on my service costs. As of now, I would not recommend the service and if I find that I have the chance to review this service publicly, I may take the opportunity if my concerns are not addressed by Turbo Tax first. See below for my concerns from the start of the experience to the end: 1. From the start of my experience with Turbo Tax Live, I was connected with a sales representative to match me with a tax expert. After having been well organized and completed a thoughtful upload of all of my documents with great details in telling the sales representative that I needed to be connected with someone who specializes in doing taxes for someone with a side hustle, I was shocked to hear on my first call with Martin that he had not worked on taxes with a side hustle like this. Right off the bat, it didn't give me a level of confidence I was wanting that I was paired up correctly. That is the whole point of the service, right? To be connected to someone who "understands your tax situation?" 2. Communication within this service promises amazing access to tax experts, although there were moments that I went days without a response from my expert (Martin) making me feel like things were going to be completed down to the wire on timing, only adding to my overall stress with this service. I even took a phone call from him in the car because I felt like it was lucky I was finally getting a call back. I had proposed times to call him in our chat and never heard back. Communication was random and very inconvenient for the working individual. 3. On some of my calls with the tax experts, I was concerned with the level of professionalism, speaking about Martin in specific. When he mentioned he was going to try to find a discount for my to use on my taxes, he then noted that he can tell Im a hard worker based on my information (which I appreciated), but then went on to say he had a crush on me which felt very uncomfortable. I understand he was trying to make me feel appreciated in the moment, and taken care of, but it seemed unprofessional to me and I wanted to just get the taxes done instead of having communication like this. 4. When the time came in that Martin finished my taxes, we had a phone call to discuss. Right off the bat, I saw a number that didnt look right to me which again did not instill confidence that my taxes were being done correct by my expert. When I made a call to the overall Turbo Tax company to talk through my concerns, I was connected and put on hold for hours before getting to talk about the actual concern, which was highly frustrating. I even was sent an email that my case was resolved WHILE I was on hold to speak to someone and had to re-explain my story several times. It was frustrating to take this on several times that day. 5. I did receive a promo code after a previous concern on the taxes + communication from Martin, which I inputted when the site wanted to charge my card for the service that hadn't even been completed yet (my taxes). When I put the promo code in, it gave me a green check that it noticed my code was in and good, but my overall price for the service did not change with the promo code leaving me overcharged when the site took my payment. Meanwhile, I incurred a service fee for the overdrafted amount on my bank account totalling $35. HIGHLY frustrating. The taxes were still not even done at this point when your site completed this charge. 6. Finally getting transferred to Phyllis was a relief, and I am thankful that she listened to my concerns and ultimately got it all done. I appreciate her expertise, communication, and confidence she gave me on my final taxes. Nothing but good things to say for her. Overall to conclude, I am VERY disappointed with my experience on Turbo Tax (besides Phyllis) and would NOT recommend this to anyone who wants to complete their taxes efficiently, effectively, without pain, & with a great sense of confidence and relief. I had high hopes with this program after seeing it in promotions, but my thoughts have changed dramatically after this horrible experience I have had. I wish Turbo Tax would take my feedback seriously, as I have communicated these things several times with no conclusion still at this moment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Clunky Software Very disappointed with the Turbo Tax Bus Software. It is very clunky and hard to navigate. I believed I paid for a tax professional to review the return and also to have the ability to have questions answered. Nowhere were these options made available.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Thorough & Hidden Fees First, they asked if I received my 3rd stimulus check last year. I wasn't entitled to it, so I checked off "No". The IRS audited me later and billed me back the $1000 + fees and penalties. 2nd... There are hidden fees. No such thing as a $59 return. They charge you for $49 state returns and another $39 for automatic payment with your return. Once you're at the end and filing, it's impossible to change the billing options.
