TurboTax fully met my needs
I used TurboTax for my joint return with my wife, including my retirement income and my self-employment income, involving 6 state returns in addition to the federal return. I also used if for my son's Special Needs Trust. All these went smoothly. Only complaint is that I had to switch computers from last year's tax preparation and wasn't able to import details from last year's returns. It would be great to be able to import from pdfs of the prior year return if the TurboTax file is not available.

Great Product but use online version
Overall great product, but desktop version is NOT the same as online version as in you CANNOT get live help with desktop version. Intuit needs to support both versions in the same manner or make it much more explicit the fact that the 2 products WITH SAME NAME are NOT THE SAME THING. I bought desktop version thinking I could add LIVE help and couldn't. Not only that, after being done with all of my taxes in the desktop version, I had to re-do in the online version. I could not load from the export of the desktop version for the current year taxes.

Good, with a frustrating glitch
In general, I had a good experience with TurboTax Self-Employed just as I have in years past. My husband was in the military, and he and I were living apart at the start of the year. Later in the year, he left the military and moved to join me. We did returns for the state I live in, and the state he was in when he was in the military. TurboTax suggested that we file a part-year resident return for the state where I live, and a non-resident return for the state he lived in the military. There were boxes on the form for my state where you're asked to enter the dates that you entered or departed the state for both the filer and the spouse. It says very clearly "If you moved into State X...." and "If you moved out of State X...". I was a full-year resident, so I should leave both of these boxes blank. My spouse was a part-year resident, so he would enter a date for when he moved into my state, and leave the "Moved out of..." box blank. TurboTax would not let me file the return electronically until I entered dates for when I move into and out of the state. I just put that I moved in 1/1/2021 and moved out 12/31/2021 to keep things moving, but it's frustrating to be forced to give inaccurate information just to file.

Still difficult to follow.
I didn't realize I had to keep notes....it just didn't flow like it use to and with the new stuff, I got lost mostly with nothing to guide you. I had to do a lot of back stepping. I guess I'm just stupid....but I got it done.
