Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay with work arounds which need to be fixed I have been using TurboTax since it was a small company. This is the first year I have had a problem with $0 being hard coded in the property tax box and within the Medical Deduction area. It required a call to TurboTax tech support to find out about a known problem and the work around developed (double clicking the $0). Other than that, the program worked as advertised.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still lots to improve on 1099 OID template for businesses/estates State returns to be filed on line or not having to go back to reprint (estates) California kept prompting me to fix things where there was nothing to fix. Add attachments section for detailed stock recaps where information is consolidated. Your form says to add attachment with no instructions or as far as i could tell how to add it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating... is it to sell more services? A few conveniences, growing list of annoyances, probably the last year I use it. It remembers all these things I've done in the past, and insists I fill in values for them (like misc rental expenses). It couldn't figure out my Fidelity 1098 form so I had to answer about 20 questions to determine whether options were sold or expired. And, it insisted I put in mortgage info and tax info about cars that it knows about, even though I'm not itemizing. Then it told me "you should go with the standard deduction!" Yes, that was very clear long before I was required to do this great futile effort. Feels like maybe all these annoyances are there, and then they pop up opportunities to have someone help you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax is a great time saver. I received a notice of income very late and had to file an amended return. I had some difficulty finding it at first, but a phone call to Turbo Tax got me in touch with a rep. We worked through the process . It was much easier going through the TurboTax pages again and e-filing the new forms

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If I Must File Electronic - I Go TurboTax I went TurboTax for filing my 2018 and 2019 tax years; no problems. I went Internet for filing 2020 tax year - BIG MISTAKE!! Internet kept sending my file back weekly as incomplete and I resubmitted each time for about 6 weeks before I got fed-up and stopped resubmitting. I used TurboTax to file 2021 tax year; no problem. I WOULD FILE PAPER BY USPS MAIL THAN GO AGAIN THRU INTERNET !!! Hooray for TurboTax <3 !!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax is easy to use, but can be costly. The process was straightforward and did not take too long to complete. While I would still recommend this to others, be aware of stocks when completing the return. I was halfway through the process when it said I have to pay $80 to complete the Schedule D (Investments) part of the return, which I was expecting to be free. Also, I had to pay an additional $49 to file federal and state taxes together, otherwise I would have to file my state separately (not through TurboTax).
