Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't ask me for 1099-MISC that I claim every yea I live in Alaska and for the past 5 years, TT has prompted me about the 1099 MISC for the pfd. This year it did not. It slipped my mind (I was focused on a new, complicated situation that required a bunch of receipts) and I had to file an amendment. I would have thought that it would have prompted me as it always has "last year you had a 1099 MISC, do you have that income this year" or noticed that I live in Alaska. To its credit, this year was the first year that it recognized that I do not owe state taxes--very early in the process.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Luke Warm #1 Please allow me to choose the Standard Deduction without having to walk thru various hoops to see if itemized deductions is better when I know it is not. #2 This year TurboTax calculated my underpayment penalty without accounting for the date I set to pay my taxes. I had to go back and manually do it. #3 So very tired of all the ads and add-on services. #4 I am losing my trust in TurboTax to do things efficiently and accurately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and convenient This makes year 5 that I have done my own taxes and saved at least $100 by doing them myself. With everything available (W2s, 1099s, etc) online, Turbo Tax makes everything much easier that gathering information to take to an accountant!
